How to Plan a Trip
The Ultimate & Practical Guide for Travel Planning

Travel has become easier and cheaper, so tourism has skyrocketed in the current century. Tourism can be simply defined as travel for pleasure. Usually people when felt bored of doing their daily jobs or when they want to have some fun time they are picking some spots to travel. As we have plenty of options available these days we can choose to travel based on our interest and budget.
As a traveler, I had been planning my trips last few years to go where ever I want so I decided to list out the things to prioritize and challenges which will play a crucial role in a trip planning. There are many tour operators on whom you can rely on allocating some budget, however, I had never taken assistance from any tour operator to plan my trip. Because I was interested to explore the places my self so that you can better explore the culture, beauty, and everything in the place where we go. Whenever you pick a tour operator they will design the itineraries and send it to you and we simple fallow them as the rules we follow in our daily jobs. But we need to pick our interests to explore. How can a third person understand your tastes in exploring?
No one better understands you other than yourself.
Planning a trip can feel like the most exciting and the most overwhelming part of travel. For planning a trip we need to decide different things like
What is the Budget?
Where to go?
What would be the itinerary plan?
Backpacking the things

What is the Budget

This is one of the most important things to decide before we plan where to go. Fix the budget of your travel so that you will have a good idea to decide on where to go and what to do. Without deciding your budget never try to jump into the ocean of options because you will regret things later if you are a budget lover. If you did not fix the cap of budget the money will flow from your pocket to things like stays, activities, food, etc.
Let’s consider an example of booking stays. There were awesome hotels in most tourist spots ranging from 10000$ per day to less than 100$ per day. So my suggestion is not to waste money. Understand the thing when you are on a trip you are not going to stay in your hotel for a complete day. In the morning you get fresh and will be going for sightseeing or doing some activities all day and in most cases, at the end of the day, you come to sleep. However, as you are already out of energy dancing all day you will fall asleep in very little time.
Do not underestimate the hotels with cheap price. They are pretty awesome but it all depends on the place we choose. My choice is always book room wherever I travel. It has the best options like privacy we need and self-cooking options if required, beautiful places to stay, etc. Try it once on your trip you will never regret. For honeymoon couple, I suggest staying 2 days in big-budget hotels and plan those two days to spend completely with yourselves to have a good time.
Where to go

Once you fixed the budget then explore the options accordingly. First, decide whether to go for a domestic or international trip. Never fear of going on your first international trip independently as there are many resources available online to understand and plan your trip. My first international trip is to Bali, where I had researched online and sorted everything accordingly. Nowadays as tourism raised significantly so the tourist’s safety is taken care of in all most all places. Check about the safety and criminal rate of the place where you decided to go. One another important thing is to check the place how the place looks in your visiting season. If you are traveling to a beautiful flower garden with green hills surrounding it, this would be a great time to visit in the spring season but if you visit in the summer season you are going to get disappointed. As everything is available online please check before you decide the plan.
Most of the low budget destinations out there are beaches. You have a lot more options but we need to spend more on other places. Every country has its options. For budget lovers, I suggest Bali, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, etc. which may be done in a lower budget. For budget lovers use the local transports like buses, tuk-tuk, etc in whatever place you are going to.
If you choose for an international trip you need to check the visa requirement of the country and currency. Be clear on these options else you are going to face problems while traveling. Checkout about the visa requirements as some countries have visa on arrival option but it again depends on the source country, however, for the rest of the countries you can directly or with the help of a tour agent can simply get the tourism visa. Though every country has international transfers to take a connecting flight but try to choose a single carrier flight to reduce the overhead of transit visa requirements. Take a sim card on arrival at the airport itself.
What would be the itinerary plan

Once the above two steps are done the next step would be searching the places online. Every country has tourism websites and there are many resources published from travelers on blogs and YouTube which will help to figure out the best spots. Do your research pick the spots to make an itinerary plan which describes what places to visit where are you going to stay and list the activities day wise. So that it would be greatly useful. Every country and city has a local tour but in my observation there rarely good places so I would suggest you guys skip this city tour and make your own plans.
Backpacking the things

It’s not like that we are just migrating to someplace do not carry lots of unnecessary languages and suitcases. You are not going to any office meeting to carry suits and formal wear. We are going on a trip to enjoy so first decide what to carry. Check the seasonal wear over the destination place and pack them. You can pack some eatables but not too many. Try the food over there. Every tourist destination has all continental hotels so don’t worry. And do not carry big suitcases try to carry some backpacks which can easily be carried everywhere mostly in situations when you shift hotels and every other place you travel

Don’t go blind without knowing the situation. Always when you go for a trip watch two to three videos which will be explaining about the tours, the medications to carry, the problems tourists faced and the travel scams they encountered, etc. So always be cautious and enjoy the trip with all preplanning. Don’t be lazy in planning if you were lazy in pre-planning you are going to ruin your fun time at the beach to search hotels, book tickets, etc. Preplan everything possible and have a worst-case plan if something is going to be missed.
